Our History

The Gebauer Company has been based in Cleveland, Ohio for over 100 years. Over the course of those years, the Gebauer Company has had only three owners. The original founder, Charles Gebauer, is responsible for developing the forerunner of the modern day aerosol. The Gebauer Company has also developed and marketed several products over the years dedicated to providing “Patient Comfort Solutions” to its customers.

Products that have been developed by the Gebauer Company over the years include Gebauer’s Ethyl Chloride®, Gebauer’s Pain Ease®, Gebauer’s Instant Ice®, Gebauer’s Spray and Stretch®, and Gebauer’s Fluro-Ethyl®. Click here to read more.


A Look Back...

1898 Gebauer Company founded by Charles and Theophil Gebauer.
 
1902 Metal tube with jet stream dispensing was patented.
 
1937 Gebauer Dispensal™ Cap and Bottle was patented.
 
1953 Gebauer’s Fluro-Ethyl® was produced.
 
1960 Gebauer’s Fluori-Methane® was produced.
 
1991 Salivart® Oral Moisturizer was purchased.
 
2002 Gebauer’s Instant Ice® was manufactured.
 
2003 Gebauer’s Spray and Stretch® was manufactured.
 
2004 Gebauer’s Pain Ease® was manufactured.
 
2005 First business agreement signed for product development and contract manufacturing.
   

2008
